The Nate Berkus Show October 2010

To anyone familiar with daytime television, the name Nate Berkus has become synonymous with outstanding interior design. Over his eight years as a featured design expert for The Oprah Winfrey Show, Nate completed more than 120 stunning interior makeovers, earning him a passionate fan base and a daytime show of his own for the fall of 2010. So when Sony Pictures Television and Harpo Productions asked Deep Focus to create the web experience for The Nate Berkus Show, we knew it had to reflect the personal style of its host – inviting, innovative and elegant. What’s more, our goal was to imagine a site  that would not only be self-funding, but that would become a source of revenue AND broadcast content over time.

Introducing TheNateShow.com, which does just that. Much more than a stunning promotional website, it’s a socially engaging extension of the broadcast entertainment. Nate fans can watch video clips and learn design tips, but they’re also invited to interact with Nate and other users by uploading their own design-related videos and commenting on, sharing and liking the content throughout the site. All of this is presented within a flexible, extensible framework that is as aesthetically polished as the television studio that Nate himself designed. And while he may be a famously tough critic, judging from the feedback we’ve received, we’d never know it.
