Dragon Quest is a massively successful franchise for Nintendo in Japan and other oversees markets. For Nintendo America, however, the franchise has not been such a big hit. Nintendo wanted to change that with this title.
To help the it break through and become a huge hit, Deep Focus was charged with creating the online presence for this franchise. To get people excited about Dragon Quest 9, Deep Focus needed to surround people with the engaging, adventurous and unique world. Deep Focus created a rich, immersive title site that introduces the Dragon Quest adventure. The multilingual interactive site allows users to get new content – exclusive items and maps to hidden locations – to extend their game play as well.
Game play is most rewarding when done in proximity with other gamers, so the site provides tools for gamers to find local events and connect with other Dragon Quest enthusiasts.
